In March 2025, Jérémie went to the Ski Romand freestyle selections. Thanks to his great basics in alpine skiing, due to many hours training with the Ski Club Villars, as well as his playfulness on the runs acquired through many hours out and about with Pré Fleuri International School, he was among the first called up to be part of the Ski Romand Freestyle competition group, giving him access to the Sport-Study (SAE) program of the Canton de Vaud. A few weeks later he was also selected for the Ski Romand Alpin group C competition team. His choice was a quick one, off we go for a whole new adventure in Freestyle and SAE!
A year full-on, with training every other weekend until the winter season, plus three physical condition training sessions a week, one of which is during school hours, exempting him from one school subject for the school year. He also has to stay on top of school work and continue to progress in on both fronts; in academics and in sport. Add to that the difficulty of having to change school and adapt to a whole new learning environment. Indeed, not easy to go from Pré Fleur and its 70 students to the school in Ollon, 650 students total and 70 in his year group, all classes combined. But Jérémie took to it like in a fish in water!
When we talk about higher level athlete it automatically included huge investments in time, emotions and money. As a member of Ski Romand, Jérémie has to sell a certain amount of fondue packets to help finance his season. So that this can be a good learning experience for Jérémie, we would like him to take it to another level and encourage him to create a community with his supporters, donators and sponsors, using modern and connected technics. Please subscribe to his newsletter that will reach out to you once or twice a month to share his progress and experiences through videos and photos (let's not fool ourselves for excessive writing, he is after all a preteen in the 21st century!)
